In the summer of 2008, I attended a one-month course in Berlin, Germany. I really learned a great deal during that time, not only from the classes but also from my daily life and traveling experiences. I had such a nice time in Germany that I want to share some of my experience and thoughts with all of you.

I’ve wrote two articles about my experiences: "My German Adventure" is about the different cities I’ve been to. In this article, I wrote about Potsdam, Jena, Leipzig, Cologne, Hamburg, Weimar, Rostock, Dresden and Berlin. Each city is with individual characteristics and reveals some aspects of German culture. "My Culture 'Shock' in Germany" is a more general one, talking about the people and things I found interesting, and distinguished from China.

I believe what I’ve written is not only about Germany. These two articles may directly or indirectly show some perspectives of a Chinese university student. It would be very different if it is written by a German or an American. I hope through reading these articles, you will not only know more about German culture, but also have a taste of Chinese culture.

I do welcome all your feedbacks and comments. These articles are just from my point of view and I am curious about your opinions too. So don’t hesitate to leave a comment here or send me an email at wlyvett@gmail.com.
