Hurricane on the Bayou - the movie at IMAX

We were all curious to watch the movie “Hurricane on the Bayou” in the imax theatre. This was as we expected a surreal experience. This was the first time for some of us at the imax and we were amazed at the movie experience – huge screen and crystal clear audio.

After a few trailers of movies to come, the”Hurricane on the Bayou” was screened. This tale talks about the loss of wet lands being the primary cause of the increase in the fury of the hurricanes and tells the sad tale of the devastating Katrina.This is told through the characters of a teenage musical prodigy and a blues guitarist who write songs about and for their dear New Orleans. The movie talks about their own tales of loss and survival amidst the hurricane and its aftermath. We got to know of the dreadful conditions the survivors had to go through and the amount of destruction that happened.

With heavy hearts we walked out of the cinema hall saluting the brave spirit of New Orleans.
