We were all excited to go to the SSP activity we had signed up for. We were taken to a community center we had to paint. I was apprehensive , initially if we could finish it in such a short span. However I was about to learn the magic of team work...

Without wasting much time we went to work. We had to paint the interior hall and part of theexterior. We started by scrubbing the dust of the walls and then painting it white. We had a quick lunch while we waited for the first coat to dry.Winthrop looked like he was painting a master piece and not realy the door:).We followed the first coat with a second and using the painter's tape to paint the beadings black.
It was fantastic to see fellows helping each other and working so enthusiastically. While at it, we were haing a lot of fun too! After having painted the place I was unsure as to which had more paint, the walls or our clothes:)
We were quite pleased with the outcome. In all it was a great experience and a great lesson in inter cultural team work for a good cause.I would also like to see this carried forward in the upcoming Symposum's as well.
