WorkGroup Presentations 2008-09

The Junior Fellows submitted the final deliverables of their workgroup after four months of extensive discussions, research, knowledge-sharing, and analyses. This half year (2008-09) there were seven workgroups that spoke about a wide range of topics - from the global financial crisis to music to online applications. Just as the topics were varied, their mode and style of presentation have also been distinct.

The SF meeting took place on the last afternoon, so that the majority of SFs coming to the symposium are present. Further more, three SFs were able to remotely attend the meeting and join the discussion via WebEx.

Goodbye, farewell,...

The Symp farewell dinner took place in DU campus Sunday evening. Farewell dinner is the extravagant version of MF "wrap-up"----or, the chaotic one. It embodies all the colors and noises of a Hollywood red carpet event on TV, except we shoot ourselves ---that is, after the official photo session. It was actually quite spectacle when three bus-ful of pretty people got unloaded to some lines of chairs, sat or stood with their best effort posing, fitting into the frame, and not letting their hunger show on their faces...

SSP's - Revamped !

suhridk's picture

I think we all realize that the MF SSP projects could do with a "shot in the arm". We realized that our SSP's have a much greater potential to create social change. Prior to the symposium some of us at Proj.SSP were seriously thinking about ways in which we can improve MF SSP's. Of course DU 2008 was a great opportunity to do that.
