Two faces of the same coin

Ever happened to you that you couldnt easily distinguish faces easily ? Especially when the faces are from another culture other than yours ? Or to put in another way around, you can more easily distinguish faces from the people with the same cultural background as you are ? Turns out that this is a psychological topic called Own-Race bias. Johanna Stahl, SF from FSU introduced this topic to some of us today.

I am Pio Sujay and am a BMS Senior Fellow(batch 0f 2007).As Suhrid has mentioned a few  SF's are bringing  to you a blog on the happenings of the Symposium , so enjoy!
 
We had a great welcome dinner at DU where we caught up with our dear friends from other campuses. The food complimeted the beautiful evening and  almost perfect weather. After dinner the night's events started of with an Invocation from Shaunnes.

DU Campus Tour

Some of the DU fellows conducted all of us around for a Dillard University campus tour. DU has a beautiful campus ! All the buildings are painted in white and there are vast stretches of green everywhere. Here are some pictures that I took while walking around on campus:

WG, composed by Amrita Nanda and Vinay Arun from BMS University,
India; Raphael Richard and Stephanie Woodard from DU, USA; Matthias
